1980 was a vintage year. The U.S. beat the Soviet Union in ice hockey for the first time. The finale of Dallas left the world wondering ‘who killed JR?’ Fame. Another Brick In The Wall and Rock With You were released as singles. The Rubix Cube hit the market. John Lennon was shot. And in the same year as both Macaulay Culkin and Jessica Simpson, three baby girls were born in Surrey.
Somehow – hope, luck, perseverance (!) - I have managed to spend a significant amount of time with you two lovely ladies. You are my best friends and I feel very lucky to have shared so much with you both. On this, our 30th year, I want to remember some of our shared history, remind each other of things we might have wanted to forget 
and laugh again at almost everything.
This is supposed to be a ‘moving feast’ of memories. Anyone can add to or comment on the content in here (no doubt there’ll be some corrections and embarassing additions…) It doesn’t have to be neat, complete or perfect; it’s a digital scrapbook, a way of capturing the beautiful shared past that we don’t want to forget. After all, we’re getting on a bit now…..
