It is a little known fact that Dan and Marie had a brief love affair many years ago. Their “song” was Love Can Build a Bridge, the Comic Relief song of the year. Their dalliance ended at the same time that the song left the top 40.
Marie is such a generous person who manages to make time for all of her friends whilst continuing to impress us all with her successful career. We love hearing tales of her beautiful cats as we are cat people ourselves.
It is very impressive that Cat ran her own company from a young age, and makes Dan very jealous with her tales of meeting Rugby stars, both past and present. She is a lovely genuine girl, we are proud to call her our friend.
Cat always manages to make time for everyone “down south” despite living so far “up north!” We do worry about her sometimes as she is very daring and thinks nothing of travelling alone in Italy at the dead of night.
Lucy now has a fab new life in Oz, and is “as fit as a butcher’s dog” (quote Dan.) Although we don’t get to see Lucy too often it is always a treat when we can, and she is great at keeping everyone up to date with her antics down under. One tip: never ask Lucy to wash your car, she once tried to remove bird poo from her BMW with a brillo pad!
One especially from Anna: As with all the girls, it could’ve been intimidating meeting you, as you are all such a beautiful bunch (and Dan claims to have had dalliances with most of you!!) Intimidating could not be further from the truth, you are such a welcoming bunch and so easy to get on with. I love being part of the gang and really proud to have you as friends.
Lots of love,
Anna xx

Funny to think that this was only one weekend, cos it almost felt like a fortnight’s holiday! What did we get up to Marie..?
Friday, we went to the Blue Elephant for Thai?? Ah, I miss the Blue Elephant. Did we have the tasting plate starters?? Too good.
I think we went for a walk along the river at Putney etc before we went out..?
Saturday, we went out on bikes right?? Did we go all the way up the Thames today? Can’t remember what was Saturday, what was Sunday… I know we went up the Thames and poked around various shops and I bought a necklace in Accessorize near London Bridge..!
Did we have lunch near Sloane Square and see Gordon Ramsey? (Or was this a completely different time?)
Was it after lunch that we went to Liz Earle? Oh, what order did everything happen in?? Grr.
Didn’t we then go to Harvey Nichs?? And (shock) buy make-up???
I remember the shoe incident (although not which day..). Finding shoes that we liked in Dune on Kings Road and hairing up to Kensington High Street on our bikes to get them in a different size. And I suddenly turned GPS/bike courier and knew all these random short cuts (although the bit where we went down a one way street by Harrods wasn’t too clever
).
NO idea what we did Saturday night.
Did we drive back to Surrey on Monday and go for a walk across the Downs somewhere??
It was a brilliant weekend, so much fun and nattering. And, mostly, it was like we lived together, which was the best bit. So cool.

I just wanted to write a little something in here cos oddly, as you know Catherine you’ve been around A LOT when I’ve had various job interviews, news, successes etc. You are, in fact my good luck charm!

OK, so that’s just a couple but they were very important moves for me!! And go on then, fill me in on all the bits I missed..???
And meantimes, I’ve advised, edited, bullied and proofed with regards to CVs, cover letters and application forms. Ah, whatr best friends for..??
